"To grow my inner world, I have been a student of comparative spiritual philosophies all my adult life. By 9/12/01, it clearly became time to return/invest those energies in the outer world.
"Pathways and Doorways" is the resulting series, using Native American hand-carved fetishes, Netsukes (polymer Museum reproductions), antique wood or stone carvings and other small sculptural figures in Assemblage or Collage works to point to the penetration of the physical world we can see by the mysterious dimensions we do not/cannot/will not see.
I regard these small constructions as Sacramentals. My intent is to inspire hope and encouragement and healing; I am also praising.
This is a large order but I have learned that the Universe loves to be asked."
